The Wakeland boys and girls golf teams performed well at the 2018 Eaton High School Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

The boys finished third in the team standings and the girls were seventh in their first tournament of the fall, which was held in Haslet and featured a mixture of top 6A and 5A squads.

Hudson Hicks led the boys team with a fifth-place finish in the individual standings. Sydney Williams finished fifth in the girls individual standings.

The Wakeland boys will be back in action at the Steele Invitational in Denton on Oct. 19-20, while the Wakeland girls will return to tournament play at the Melissa Invitational on Oct. 15.
