Wakeland's combination of a strong running attack and stingy defense equaled another victory Friday.
The Wolverines rolled over Richardson Pearce 35-7 at FISD Memorial Stadium, paced by an offense that piled up 265 yards rushing.
Jared White had 198 of those rushing yards, along with three touchdowns. The Wakeland defense forced five punts by Pearce and allowed only one touchdown for the second straight game.
Wakeland, which has outscored opponents 73-17 in the first two games, opens District 5-5A Division I play on Thursday (Oct. 8) against Centennial. The game is at 7:30 p.m. at Ford Center.
